UNSW report highlights maltreatment of people with disabilities in detention

A new report released by UNSW has detailed the cruelty and maltreatment people with disabilities endure in detention centres.

Compiling of testimonies and findings discovered in a national forum looking into the treatment of people with disabilities, research found that the system is not designed to help or properly detain people in these facilities.

The Wire’s Zachary Probert spoke with authors of the report Mr Patrick McGee and Doctor Maree Higgins to find out more.
