Indigenous Walk for Truth sets off toward Canberra

This year’s Indigenous led Walk for Truth is underway after kicking off from the steps of Victoria’s Parliament this weekend.

The Walk for Truth will span over five weeks across Victoria and New South Wales, and will end at Parliament House in Canberra.

The walk calls for the Australian prime minister to commit to a national truth-telling process for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The trek is led by Kerrupmara/Gunditjmara man and executive director of Melbourne University’s Centre for Truth-telling and Dialogue, Travis Lovett.
