Does the construction industry have a productivity problem?

The lack of affordable housing is one of the biggest issues concerning Australians with the rising cost of accommodation eating into personal and family budgets. To tackle the housing shortages the Federal government announced a $10 billion commitment to build 1000,000 homes for first-home buyers, but there are concerns the complex dynamics of the construction industry may frustrate this national ambition.
