Schools Using NAPLAN Test Scores for Entrance Test as Part of Enrolments

Well last week school students around Australia took their NAPLAN tests. The test was introduced in 2008 as a way to assess students’ numeracy, reading, writing and language convention skills. But it seems that some private and select- entry government schools were using student NAPLAN results as part of enrolment applications to get into schools which according to the Head of NAPLAN Stephen Gneil is “horrendous and a misuse of the assessment”
