Raising awareness about endometriosis critical

Endometriosis is a common and often painful condition where the lining of the uterus grows outside of it – causing an inflammatory response, particularly around menstruation.

While the condition varies amongst individuals, it is frequently associated with pain, bloating, heavy menstruation and impacts on wellbeing and at times, fertility.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month – refocusing a lens on the chronic disease continuing to affect the lives of more than 800,000 Australian women, girls, and those who are gender diverse.
