Australian families living in poverty are at greater risk of health implications due to the rising cost pressures and energy affordability.
The Federal Government recently announced a dollar-for-dollar funding initiative to upgrade social housing and increase access to solar power for 30 thousand homes.
Advocates welcome the decision, but say this is not enough to protect families living in poverty from the Australian sun this summer.
