Multicultural Nation

Australia was taken down the path of multiculturalism in 1972 by the father of multiculturalism Al Grassby, Immigration Minister in the Whitlam Government 1972-4.

Then, there was dedicated support of communities as part of the opening up of Australia to the world.   Now, the Federation of Ethnic Communities Councils of Australia, wants the Government to focus more on the needs of multicultural Australia and provide more dedicated support.  They are asking multicultural Australia to tell them what is needed in a new survey available on their website.
