Contemporary music funding urged before SA election

Adelaide is Australia’s only UNESCO City of Music — but industry leaders say the sector is under strain.

Weeks out from polling day, MusicSA is calling for a $12 million investment over four years to leverage the state’s future of contemporary music.

The Play It LOUD contemporary music action plan targets six key areas, to support an industry that contributes $490 million to the state economy and supports more than 5,000 full-time jobs, according to modelling commissioned by the organisation.

 

So what would it deliver for South Australia?
