Disability community concerned over new NDIS overhaul

The National Disability Insurance Scheme will see a major overall with reforms announced ahead of the Federal Budget. 

Labor government project they will save billions and reduce the growth rate of the Scheme.

Speaking at yesterday’s National Press Club NDIS Minister, Mark Butler, said reforms will “make sure it is sustainable now – and for future generations.”  

While advocates from across the sector have welcomed NDIS reform, the cuts have also raised wide-spread concern with participants set to lose thousands in funding and up to 160,000 participants anticipated to lose access altogether.
