Coles in court over alleged misleading “Down Down” discounts

Coles is facing a major court battle, accused by the consumer watchdog of misleading shoppers with so-called “Down Down” discounts.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission alleges the supermarket temporarily raised prices on hundreds of products, before promoting them as price drops, a claim Coles denies.
