Barley exports back on the boil

After the trade retaliation from China following Australia’s lead in pushing the World Health Organisation to find out more about the COVID-19 beginnings in Wuhan, Australia’s Barley exports were a major loser.

The prohibitive 80.5% tariff slapped on the grain meant that we were effectively locked out of the Chinese market.

Now, China is moving to ease the pressure on the selection of Australian exports and there looks to be light at the end of the tunnel.
