A New Weapon Against Shingles

On the first of November a new Shingles from British Biotech and pharmaceutical Company GlaxoSmithKline. The new vaccine named Shingrix® will replace the previously available Zostavax® and the Shingrix® has been made free to five million Australians who have been deemed the most venerable to Shingles.

The vaccine which needs two doses will cost the government up to $560 for the full vaccination, with a total investment of  $826.8 million dollars to the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
