The future of nuclear after Coalition’s election loss

Labor’s opposition to nuclear energy, and push to renewables, was one defining policy of the election, reflecting broader shifts in Australia’s energy debate.

As the Coalition campaigned on a nuclear vision, this opened the discussion on nuclears’ place as an energy source in Australia.

Jordan Zerella spoke with a number of experts, including Dr Adam Simpson, senior lecturer in International Studies at the University of South Australia, to see how impacts of nuclear politics played into Australia’s broader political shift.
