QLD’s truth-telling and healing inquiry is set to go ahead, despite the new LNP government’s plan to terminate.
The commission’s chairperson, Waanyi and Kalkadoon man, Joshua Creamer, restarted the historic inquiry last week, 23 days after Premier, David Crisafulli gave the order to cease work immediately.
The LNP leader has also vowed to repeal the Path to Treaty legislation underpinning the inquiry, but at a press conference last Friday, Mr Creamer told reporters until this happens the commission has a legal responsibility to push ahead.
