Paramedic Elissa Martyn runs 65km to raise awareness for DV and PTSD

This year, a paramedic based in Central Australia ran an ultra marathon for a cause close to her heart.

Elissa Martyn is a lecturer in Paramedics at Charles Darwin University, and recently ran 65km in the West Macs Monster ultra trail run, raising awareness for PTSD and domestic violence.

Ms Martyn ran to honour her best mate, who didn’t survive her battle with PTSD.
