A new program to support LGBTIQ+ refugees from the Asia Pacific region was launched this week.
The Refugee Advice and Casework Service and the Forcibly Displaced People Network have launched ‘Bridge To Safety’, a program to support this demographic group by preparing and lodging humanitarian visa applications.
So far, Australia and Canada are the only countries providing this service for LGBTIQ+ refugees, and funding and donations are critical.
