The preliminary results of the 2025 Canadian Federal Election are in, with the incumbent Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberal Party totalling the largest amount of votes, ahead of the Conservatives.
US President Donald Trump is being characterised as having helping the Liberal Party to victory after repeatedly stating that Canada should become the 51st state.
