Advantages of becoming a member of 2SEA
1) As a member you will be part of a dynamic vibrant organisation that operates to serve the community. 2SEA provides entertainment, information, education, community notices, facilitates in the sharing of ideas and knowledge across a range of topics, and provides an opportunity for groups and individuals to be heard.
2) You will have the opportunity to become a programme presenter. Full training is given in the lead up to this. Opportunities may also arise to undertake further training that could lead to formal certification from CBAA.
3) Members are encouraged to nominate for positions on the various committees. As a committee member you will have a direct input into the decision making processes that govern the running of the station, assist in formulating station policies, thereby having a direct role in the operations of the station and the selection and provision of the programmes that are broadcast.
4) You will learn new skills, gain an understanding of broadcasting laws and procedures as well as have the opportunity to assist the station by bringing your knowledge and skills to the group.
5) You can share the facilities that the station offers. It is a place of social contact and the music library is available to borrow and enjoy.
6) Your efforts as a volunteer will be highly valued. There is a wide variety of jobs that are undertaken around the station and your assistance will be much appreciated. As an organisation that relies on its volunteers 2SEA has a clear charter of rights and responsibilities for its helpers.
7) You will have the opportunity to share ideas with others out there in the community. Your passion for a particular style of music, a favourite artist, a hobby or a general interest that fascinates you can lead to new programming.
